Ornella Barra
Wholesale and Commercial Affairs Director - Alliance Boots Limited
As Alliance Boots Wholesale and Commercial Affairs Director, Ornella Barra is responsible for the strategy and management of the Alliance Healthcare Division that includes overseeing the businesses as well as the key functions. She is the founder and leader of the European Pharmacists Forum (EPF); Member of both the Board of Directors and the Operating Committee of Alliance Boots Limited; President of ADF (The Italian association of pharmaceutical wholesalers); Member of Confcommercio Council (Italian national association of commerce); Member of IFPW (International Federation of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers) Board.
Ornella was previously Executive Director of Alliance UniChem, having been appointed to the Board in 1997 when Alliance Santé merged with UniChem to form the Alliance UniChem Group. She was also a Director of Alliance Santé (now Alliance Healthcare France) and General Manager of Alleanza Salute Italia (now Alliance Healthcare Italia). She is a pharmacist by profession.
