Alliance Healthcare Portugal is our associate Portuguese wholesale business. In June 2005, Alliance Boots entered into a strategic partnership with Portugal's national association of pharmacies to form a strategic partnership.
Under the terms of the transaction, ANF (Associação Nacional das Farmácias) purchased a 49% stake in the business and José de Mello Participações II SGPS acquired 2%.
