UK: UniChem appointed distribution logistics service provider for Prograf® and Advagraf®
12 November 2007UniChem can confirm that it has been appointed as sole distribution logistics service provider by Astellas Pharma Ltd for the delivery of its transplant medicines (Prograf® and Advagraf®) in the UK with effect from 26 November 2007.
The vast majority of dispensing points are already ordering some or all of their medicines through UniChem and will be able to order Prograf® and Advagraf® through their existing accounts.

This move comes as a result of serious supply issues in the market and our appointment enables Astellas to offer an immediate and reliable solution. UniChem is committed to putting its customers’ needs first and we will maintain existing delivery frequencies and ease of ordering for all accounts.”
Any dispensing point that does not currently have a trading account with UniChem (first, second line, or Direct To Pharmacy) and wishes to obtain these medicines from 26 November should contact UniChem immediately on 0800 389 3455.
In Northern Ireland, UniChem has sub-contracted the delivery of Prograf® and Advagraf® to Sangers (NI). UniChem / Sangers will be communicating directly with customers in the coming days to confirm ordering processes and delivery schedules.
Please note this change does not apply to other medicines in the Astellas portfolio.
