Commenting on the seminar, Ornella Barra, Wholesale and Commercial Affairs Director of Alliance Boots, said: "This seminar is the first one to be held in Russia. It follows the acquisition we made last year in this emerging and very promising market. The seminar will be a great opportunity for Alliance Boots and its Alliance Healthcare Division to reiterate its strong commitment to independent pharmacists. Supporting the pharmacy profession is not only a cornerstone of our strategy but also part of our DNA."

The EPF is sponsored by Alliance Healthcare and was established in 1999. Its main aims are to support a European and transversal approach to the profession, to bring together pharmacists to discuss new ideas and share key messages, as well as to facilitate positive dialogue with public authorities and manufacturers. Alliance Boots' sponsorship of the Forum highlights its commitment to pharmacists and its desire to be seen as a key partner all over the world. The EPF seminars take place four times a year and the EPF has members from eight countries: UK, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Switzerland.
