France: Francois Nicol becomes Finance Director at Alliance Healthcare France
02 July 2007François Nicol has been appointed as Finance Director from 2 July at Alliance Healthcare France. He is a member of the Executive Committee and reports directly to Jean-Louis Méry , President of Alliance Healthcare France . He replaces Olivier Feray , who is now Wholesale Finance Director for the Alliance Healthcare Division.
François Nicol’s role will focus primarily on helping develop the French business in the context of the strong and accelerated growth desired at both Alliance Healthcare Division and Group level in particular following their recent acquisition of Alliance Boots.
Commenting on the appointment of François, Jean-Louis Méry said: “His international experience and expertise gained within American and German companies, his knowledge of project development (particularly in terms of subsidiary integration and brand launches) and his excellent awareness of the international environment are all factors which will enable him to take the lead rapidly and deliver a strong performance in his new role.”
François Nicol is 46 years old and a graduate of the Lyon Business School (1984). He started his career as a Quality Auditor for Price Waterhouse before working at Baxter International (1989-1995), Sun Microsystems (1995-2000), Amazon (2000-2001) and Newell Rubbermaid Group (2002-2004). He joins the company from Madaus France, where since 2005 he was Finance Director.
