France: Patrick Brondeau becomes President of Alphega Pharmacy in France
9 October 2007Patrick Brondeau has been appointed President of Alphega Pharmacy in France from 1 October 2007. He succeeds Jean-Christophe Court who, after three years as head of Alphega Pharmacie, has decided to move onto the next stage of his career and to return to the pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. After several years managing the operations activity of Alliance Healthcare France, where he held a number of roles as Sales Director, Commercial Director and Deputy General Manager, Patrick Brondeau, 48, will dedicate his time to the development of Alliance Healthcare France's network of independent pharmacists, Alphega Pharmacie.
Jean-Louis Méry, Chairman of Alliance Healthcare France, said: "Patrick Brondeau's extensive experience, pharmaceutical background and interest in furthering the strategic development of our Group will make him an influential key player in our relationships with the pharmacists and within the industry."
Christophe Boulain will succeed Patrick Brondeau as Commercial Director of Alliance Healthcare France. Christophe Boulain becomes a member of the Executive Committee and the Management Committee of Alliance Healthcare France and will be part of the Senior Management team of the Alliance Healthcare Division. Christophe Boulain, 49, previously held the position of President of ORP (Ouest Répartition Pharmaceutique), Alliance Healthcare France's wholesale activity for buying groups. He will take up responsibility for Alliance Healthcare France's offering to community pharmacies and will be responsible for the deployment of the new commercial organisation for the French Pharmaceutical Wholesale business.
Jean-Louis Méry, said: "Christophe Boulain has demonstrated excellent entrepreneurial and operational qualities during his time as President of ORP. His wholesale experience and expertise will be a great asset in carrying out his new role."
