Spain: New Managing Director for Alliance Healthcare España
30 July 2008Alliance Healthcare, the Pharmaceutical Wholesale Division of Alliance Boots, has appointed Joaquim Fausto Ferreira as Managing Director of Alliance Healthcare España, the Group’s Spanish pharmaceutical wholesaling business. This new appointment will take effect from 1 August 2008. Joaquim Fausto will report directly to Ornella Barra, Board Member and Wholesale & Commercial Affairs Director, Alliance Boots.
Joaquim, who is a qualified pharmacist, joined the Group 14 years ago and most recently held the role of Director of Marketing and Development for Alliance Healthcare Portugal, the Group’s Portuguese associate business. He contributed greatly to the development of this business through various senior posts he held during this time.
Commenting on his appointment, Ornella Barra said, “Joaquim achieved an excellent track record during his time at Alliance Healthcare Portugal. He brings great experience and knowledge to this new role, particularly in terms of commercial and marketing, which will prove invaluable in driving the Spanish business.”
