New Director of European Contract Sales for Alliance Healthcare
4 August 2008Alliance Healthcare, the Pharmaceutical Wholesale Division of Alliance Boots, has appointed Robert Crockart as Director of European Contract Sales. In this role, Robert is responsible for the development and implementation of a pan-European strategy to provide sales support to pharmaceutical and healthcare manufacturers. He reports to John Kallend, Director of Manufacturer Relations, Alliance Healthcare.
Robert comes to Alliance Healthcare with more than a decade of experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. He joins the company from Novartis Consumer Health, where he was Country Manager for Hungary from July 2007 to June 2008. Prior to that, Robert was responsible for sales and sales development for Novartis’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region (2005 - 2007) and held positions as Head of Sales (2002 - 2005) and Business Unit Manager (2000 - 2002) for Novartis South Africa. Before joining Novartis, his roles included regional sales manager, product marketing manager and sales representative at several pharmaceutical and healthcare companies in South Africa.
Commenting on his appointment, John Kallend said, “I’m confident that, with his proven skills and experience, Robert will be invaluable to the development of our sales support strategy. This appointment will contribute to further strengthening our services for manufacturers and ultimately, enable us to better serve the needs of independent pharmacists.”
