UK: Alliance Healthcare (Distribution) Ltd appointed as sole distributor of Neupro®
6 April 2009Alliance Healthcare (Distribution) Ltd can confirm that it has been appointed by UCB as the sole distributor of Neupro® in the UK, with effect from 6 April 2009.
The vast majority of dispensing points are already ordering some or all of their medicines through Alliance Healthcare (Distribution) Ltd and will be able to order Neupro® through their existing accounts.
Mark Stephenson, Commercial and Supplier Relations Director, Alliance Healthcare (Distribution) Ltd, comments: “This move comes as a result of ongoing supply issues in the market for this product and we are pleased to be offering a solution to UCB, ensuring a consistent and robust supply of Neupro® for both our customers and patients across the UK.”
Any dispensing point that does not currently have a trading account with Alliance Healthcare (Distribution) Ltd or has any queries in relation to the ordering process for Neupro® from 6 April, should contact UniChem immediately on 0800 389 3455.
In Northern Ireland, Alliance Healthcare (Distribution) Ltd has sub-contracted the delivery of Neupro® to Sangers (NI). UniChem / Sangers will be communicating directly with customers in the coming days to confirm ordering processes and delivery schedules.
Please note this change does not apply to other medicines in the UCB portfolio.
