ALMUS™

Almus™ is our award-winning range of branded generic medicines and continues to lead the field with innovative, user-focused design and patient-friendly packaging. The first to introduce colour and patient-safe design to the generic medicines market, the Company has created distinctive colour combinations and full colour illustrations of the medication on the pack to provide a range of safety benefits for pharmacy staff and their patients.

Almus Pharmaceuticals does not own manufacturing plant, but sources its Almus™ products from major generics manufacturers worldwide. The Company has developed strong partnerships with these manufacturers, who are able to take advantage of our European network. At the same time, governments, health authorities, insurers and patients benefit from the lower cost of generic medicines in comparison with branded products.

The Almus™ brand was launched in France and Italy in 2006, actively marketed in Germany during 2008, and over the next few years will be rolled out in other countries in which Alliance Boots has a presence. In addition, during 2007, Alliance Boots and Cardinal Health announced a sourcing and marketing agreement for the sale of Almus generic prescription medicines in the United States. Cardinal Health is a global provider of products and services that improve the safety and productivity of healthcare.

ALVITA™

Alvita™ is our range of branded patient care products including surgical, diagnostics, orthopaedics and everyday health & hygiene.

Alvita™ was launched in France and Italy in 2006, the UK in 2007 and Spain and Portugal during 2008. It is planned to roll out the Alvita™ brand in existing wholesale markets, leveraging the Company's sourcing and distribution capabilities.
